__Overall Objective

Securing access to quality medical services, including emergency medical services and improving the quality of life of the population by decreasing the mortality rate, secondary complications and late disability of the population caused by emergency medical cases.

During the implementation of the project special attention will be paid to disabled people, citizens living in remote areas, ethnic minorities and particular diseases (myocardial infarction, stroke, severe traumatism, etc.)


__Project Purpose


The overall objective will be achieved by means of the eelaboration of a model and piloting of 2 Multiprofiled Hospitals for Active Treatment, comprising Centres for Emergency Medical Care, with a special focus on cardio-vascular diseases.

A new model of managing the emergency medical cases will be developed in a joint way for the Multi-profile Hospitals and Emergency Medical Care Centers.

Mobile units will provide 100% accessibility to a basic set of medical service for all individuals living in a radius of 100 Km from these centres.

Particular attention will be paid to the representatives of the ethnic minorities, especially the Roma population, in order to integrate them in the Bulgarian health system.
